As our friends over at Grub Street pointed out last month, the Film Food Festival at Harry’s Water Taxi Beach kicks off this evening. To whet your appetite, here’s the trailer for one of the festival’s main-event films, Buffet: All You Can Eat Las Vegas, a documentary that chronicles the gluttony habits of those who regularly frequent the calorie-packed smorgasbords. Filmmaker Natasha Schull would like you to know that the pigs shown in the trailer “aren’t some heavy-handed metaphor for the people depicted in the film†— they’re actually featured in the movie, quite happily doing their parts to eat the buffet dregs left over once the paying customers have had their fill. —Sara Cardace
