Michael Cera and Ellen Page Folk Around

1. Michael Cera and Ellen Page, “Anyone Else But You†(Moldy Peaches cover)
Cera and Page sound like they recorded this on a thrift-store four-track in someone’s bedroom, yet this cover (taken from the hit soundtrack to their hit movie, Juno) still has higher production values than the Moldy Peaches original. [Galaxy FM]

2. Ice Cube, “You Can Do Itâ€
This track isn’t new, but the possibility of Ice Cube inheriting Mr. T’s role as B.A. Baracus in John Singleton’s remake of The A-Team certainly is. Ice Cube, you can totally do it. [Black Country Grammar]

3. Ssion, “Clown (Glass Candy remix)â€
Another pair of hipsters (they’ve done artwork and videos for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Liars) sashay their way across the discotheque. They think they’re very clever, and the bloggers seem to agree. [Big Stereo]

4. Beastie Boys, “Intergalactic (Yellus remix)â€
The Beastie Boys get more sophomoric by being remixed by an actual sophomore, 17-year-old Alexander Eldefors (a.k.a. Yellus) from Sweden. The track is broken past the point of recognition, but that’s not a bad thing. [Phase 02]

5. Belle and Sebastian, “Freak Sceneâ€
Belle and Sebastian stop being twee for just long enough to rock a convincing Dinosaur Jr. cover. Look for Stuart Murdoch to start firing band members any day now. [You Ain’t No Picasso]
