Artist Anya Gallaccio Sends You Dead Flowers Every Morning
This blooming door, by Anya Gallaccio, looks idyllic in this photo — but if you visit it today, you’ll find a much graver sight. The once fresh flowers are wilted and brown; mold creeps up the glass. Alas! Gallaccio has left these blossoms to rot at Chelsea Art Museum through September 6, in hopes that the viewer will mourn these colorful blooms as well as the dismal state of our environment. Another attractive Armageddon! —Sadye Teiser
