Apparently the British appreciate a good poker face more than their American counterparts. Lady Gaga took home three major awards at tonight’s Brit Awards, the U.K.’s equivalent of the Grammys (where she was overlooked for the top honors). Gaga won the prizes for best international female artist, best international breakthrough act, and best international album (for The Fame). In a performance dedicated to the late Alexander McQueen, she provided one of the night’s highlights, singing acoustic versions of her songs “Telephone†and “Dance in the Dark†in typically casual garb.
