In what could potentially be a major shakeup in the Universe of Idol, American Idol producers will for the first time allow its 24 finalists to post to “Idol-approved†MySpace, Facebook, and Twitter pages. It has not been made clear whether contestants will be allowed to write whatever they like, or if their posts will have to be pre-approved. At the moment, Twitter, Facebook, and MySpace accounts have been set up for all of the finalists, though none have seen any activity yet, MTV News reports.
