Plans to release Charles Pellegrino’s The Last Train From Hiroshima: The Survivors Look Back — the book about the American bombing of Japan in 1945, which was recently optioned by the HMFIC — have been halted following the hilarious revelations that one of Pellegrino’s sources had falsely claimed to be aboard one of the planes accompanying the Enola Gay, and that two other people mentioned in the text may not actually exist. Also, Pellegrino might not have the PhD he brags about on his website. As soon as James Cameron is finished winning Oscars this weekend, we bet he’ll furnish Pellegrino with an honorary degree in getting shouted at by James Cameron. [AP]
