Conan O’Brien is still in talks with Fox for a new late-night show at the network, but according to Chevy Chase, he might as well just enjoy an early retirement. Chase, who hosted his own short-lived late-night talk show on Fox in 1993, told the Chicago Tribune that if he were in Conan’s place he’d “just go to the beach.†Of course, Chase qualified his opinion by explaining that he was never prepared for his show, and he never understood the format.
