Letterman Extortionist Takes a Plea Deal

Robert Halderman, the photogenic 48 Hours producer who allegedly attempted to extort David Letterman out of $2 million, will plead guilty in State Supreme Court in Manhattan and spend six months in jail, reports the Times. He’ll also serve four and a half years probation and do 1,000 hours of community service, which will probably leave him very little time to develop his Letterman movie, sadly. [City Room/NYT]
