Pavement Reunion Touches Down in Auckland

New York–area Pavement fans who bought tickets to the Central Park reunion shows a full year in advance have every right to be upset that the band opened their tour in freakin’ Auckland, New Zealand, yesterday. But if Malkmus and Co. sound this good now (even in these shaky camera-phoned clips video posted to YouTube), just think of how much better they’ll be on September 21 after they’ve had a little more time to practice. “Grounded,� “Range Life,� and “Cut Your Hair� are after the jump.
