Last night Ricky Gervais stopped by The Late Show, where he discussed inadvertently entering a contract with Larry David when he allowed the Seinfeld creator to buy him lunch. David supposedly said Gervais now owes him a meal the next time he’s in London, which obviously raises a question: Will the debt be repaid if David decides to order the soup? On their shows, Jimmy Kimmel decided to consult an expert about new details of the Jesse James scandal, while Jimmy Fallon made an excellent suggestion for Sarah Palin’s upcoming Fox News special. The Daily Show used Palin’s recent rally in Nevada to make a statement about American political discourse, and finally, Craig Ferguson acknowledged his show’s Peabody using his preferred medium of puppets.
