The Hollywood Reporter has issued a report tonight that Bob and Harvey Weinstein have won back operating control of Miramax, the company they founded in 1979 and then sold to Disney in 1993 for $80 million. The studio had been soliciting offers via an internal process for the past few months, and the Weinsteins were rumored to have put together an offer of about $600 million with the help of a few financial backers. The deal has not been officially announced yet, however, and a Disney spokesman told the Reporter no agreement has yet been reached.
