The ninth season of American Idol came to a glorious end tonight with performances by past winners, past losers and a group of stars from the past (Hall and Oates, Joe Cocker, Janet Jackson). More importantly, a winner was crowned. So, after a long night of singing, dancing and wishing Simon Cowell goodbye who was crowned champion?
It was Lee DeWyze! That’s right, the former paint salesmen with leaky eyes is your new Idol. Congratulations to Lee and all, but the highlight of the night was William Hung and General Larry Platt coming together for a “Pants on the Ground†duet. Awesome.
