Though Summit has landed director Bill Condon and is close to finalizing deals with the holy trinity of Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, the studio is facing an unexpected obstacle as it attempts to move forward with Breaking Dawn. Summit is having trouble securing some of the franchise’s supporting players for the adaptation of the final Twilight book (which will most likely be split into two films) and the disputes have held up an official announcement of the project. While Peter Facinelli (Carlisle Cullen) and Billy Burke (Charlie Swan) have agreed to deals, a few of the younger stars - like Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene - are looking for raises similar to those Stewart, Pattinson and Lautner received, and have laughed off offers representing at least 10 times what they made on the first film. As a result, the Hollywood Reporter says there are rumblings that roles may be recast. “We may have a situation where one of them is thrown out on the street to make a point,†a source told the Reporter. And, as we know, Summit doesn’t seem to have any qualms about kicking people to the curb.
