After just two episodes, ABC has decided to pull Happy Town — described by Entertainment Weekly as “the poor man’s Twin Peaks†— from its May schedule. Though the show was promoted heavily by ABC, the debut episode earned just 5.2 million viewers (on par with the numbers for Ugly Betty and Eastwick during their runs), before dipping to 3.8 million viewers for the second episode. ABC will burn off the first season’s five remaining episodes starting June 2. If you are among this 3.8 million, you should probably start mentally preparing for Happy’s seemingly inevitable cancellation. [Ausiello Files/EW]
