Without any major releases and amid overall decreasing record sales, this past week has the dubious distinction of seeing the fewest number of total album sales in a single week — 5.3 million — since Nielsen SoundScan started tracking in 1991. BET nominee Justin Bieber’s My World 2.0 was the top seller, its fourth time in the spot, with sales of just over 60,000 (only about 300 less and it would have become the lowest-selling No. 1 album in history).
