Colony Capital LLC, a Santa Barbara–based private-equity firm, currently co-owns Neverland with the Jackson family, but Davis would like the California Department of Parks and Recreation to take it over and is considering introducing a bill when the state’s lawmakers return from their recess in August. Apparently a lot of the rides and animals have been taken off the property since Michael Jackson’s death but, hey, Neverland Ranch — not just for Macaulay Culkin anymore. [AP]
