Last night at the Highline Ballroom, Killers front man Brandon Flowers wrapped up a mini-tour in support of September’s Flamingo, and Vulture was there. A brief, spirited, and stripped-down affair — in just around 50 minutes, Flowers ran through mostly unreleased Flamingo cuts while decked out in a spiffy, vaguely southwestern-themed vest, and with one prominent neck vein bulging almost throughout — it certainly made us no less excited for the dude’s first solo album. And then he came out for the encore and really gave the people what they wanted: reinterpreted Killers singles! See Flowers, with his very own Nuno Bettencourt in tow, giving “When You Were Young†a cheery, captivating acoustic makeover, in the video above.
