Unforgivable: GK Films is developing a feature adaptation of the 2009 British mini-series Unforgiven with Angelina Jolie attached to star. Christopher McQuarrie (The Tourist, X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2) will write the script, which is about a woman’s attempt to rejoin society after she serves fifteen years in prison for murdering two policemen (she killed them when they came to evict her family from their farmhouse). She attempts to “live quietly and reunite with her troubled younger sister†but is pursued by the two sons of one of her victims. Jolie won’t officially commit to the project until the script is finished, though — so pressure’s on, McQuarrie! [Deadline]

Channing’s Reunion: Channing Tatum will star in and is working on developing Ten Year, an ensemble drama about friends from high school reuniting a decade after their graduation. Jamie Linden (We Are Marshall, Dear John) will write and direct. The script is being crafted with specific actors in mind, including Jenna Dewan (Tatum’s wife), Anna Faris, and her husband Chris Pratt, Chris Pine and Friday Night Lights’ Scott Porter. Not a bad crew. [HR]

Iron Man: Marvel is moving forward with a live-action feature version of Iron Fist, hiring Rich Wilkes (XXX) to write the first draft of the script. The comic is based on a martial-arts expert whose “battle with a dragon — ended when he plunged his hands through the beast’s molten heart — turned his fists into indestructible weapons.†So this is a movie about a dude who can punch really, really well. [Deadline]

Tragic Angle
: Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) has been cast as the lead in the indie film Right Angle from the producers of The Kids Are All Right. Michael Burke (The Mudge Boy) is directing. The story is focused on a “hard-drinking, promiscuous salesman who becomes a quadriplegic after a tragic accident and struggles to come to terms with his predicament and with his future.†[Variety]

La Tour: British electropop band La Roux has announced a headlining U.S. tour in November, which will last just seventeen days. The trek will begin in Florida on November 1, before concluding at Terminal 5 in New York City on the 17th. [MTV]

Vampin’: James Wan (Saw) will direct Nightfall, a film adaptation of the graphic novel about a man sentenced to time in a prison run by vampires. Can’t blame ‘em — this is where the money is. [Deadline]
