There’s no conspiracy against AMC’s Rubicon: The new drama from the Mad Men network premiered Sunday to an audience of 2 million viewers, the biggest premiere number ever for an AMC original series. By comparison, AMC’s last original drama, Breaking Bad, bowed to around 1.4 million viewers. Rubicon was also within spitting distance of the far more established Mad Men, which drew about 2.5 million viewers for its second episode of the season (down from 2.9 million for the season four premiere).
