Community was totally snubbed when Emmy nominations were announced last month, but fans of NBC’s Thursday-night comedy will still have a reason to tune in to the August 29 awards. Vulture has learned that Community (and The Soup!) star Joel McHale has been tapped as a presenter for the show. (It probably didn’t hurt that the Peacock network is also airing this year’s Emmys, or that McHale agreed to wake up early last month to announce the nominees.) In any case, look for an announcement later today, along with the news that Matthew Perry, LL Cool J, and Keri Russell have also agreed to hand out statuettes and say something pithy during the Jimmy Fallon–hosted telecast, joining previously announced Vulture faves Ricky Gervais, January Jones, and Tina Fey on the presenter roster.
