Leonardo DiCaprio’s having a period moment. After tackling the fifties with Revolutionary Road and Shutter Island (and dressing like a period banker throughout much of Inception), DiCaprio’s got even more time travel lined up: He’s set to shoot Clint Eastwood’s Hoover next, and the projects he may follow that with, Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby and turn-of-the-century serial-killer drama Devil in the White City, turn the clock back even further. Now, add another period picture to the list, as Variety reports the actor is setting up Legacy of Secrecy, which posits that mafioso Carlos Marcello confessed to undercover FBI informant Jack Van Laningham (DiCaprio) that he was responsible for ordering JFK’s assassination. It’s like The Departed with conspiracy theories! [Variety]
