Tron: Legacy, Disney’s Daft Punk–scored, solemn-looking, 3-D sequel to the 1982 film Tron, doesn’t hit theaters until December, but it has already inspired an animated TV adaptation, voiced by Elijah Wood. Tron: Uprising, the TV version, will take place between the ‘82 film and the upcoming one, set to premiere in summer 2012 on Disney XD, preceded by a ten-part Tron mini-series launching in fall 2011. Tron: Legacy screenwriters Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz will act as consulting producers for Tron: Uprising, and the series will be voiced with Elijah Wood as Beck, Emmanuelle Chriqui as Paige, Mandy Moore as Mara, and Paul Reubens as Pavel. That’s, er, a lot of Tron, so hopefully the movie’s good! [Coming Soon]
