Last week, at the roast of Quentin Tarantino, Vulture caught up with Samm Levine, beloved forever for his role as Neal Schweiber on Freaks and Geeks, but most recently seen hunting Nazis in Inglourious Basterds. So what’s it like working with Quentin? “You know, he’s a mad genius,†Levine told us. “He’s one of the greatest filmmakers in the world who is also out of his mind. He has this energy about him where you’d swear he must be on 30 drugs, but I swear he doesn’t do any. The guy is just the most high-energy non-toddler I’ve ever seen. But then when he crashes, he crashes. He’s the only man I’ve seen fall asleep standing up not leaning against anything. We’d been shooting all day and all night, twenty-hour days, six days in a row, and on the sixth night we went out to party. And five hours into partying, I saw him fall asleep on his feet, at a club, not touching anything. It’s pretty crazy.†For more celebrities talking QT, click through our Party Lines slideshow.
