There are some news events that just can’t be joked about, really, and the recent shooting of an Arizona Congresswoman and a group of people with her is certainly one of them. So rather than try, or ignore the event completely, Jon Stewart spoke plainly last night about the shooting, those trying to find meaning in it, and our toxic political environment. It’s well worth watching, both for the content of his message as well as to watch Stewart become more and more comfortable as a voice in the media echo chamber worth listening to, jokes or not.
