Spike TV’s sort of historical fighting TV show Deadliest Warrior is being made into a feature-length film. The joyfully nerdy show pits legendary warriors against one another and surmises who might win. You know, like Spartan versus ninja or Viking versus samurai — you get the idea. The big-screen adaptation will be handled by Paramount, the sister studio of Spike. Paramount’s Shawn Levy and 21 Laps president Dan Levine will produce the film, and Levy may direct. Expect lots of CGI, bloody fights, and nunchakus. [Variety]
