Little Fockers won the weekend box office for the second week in a row, raking in another $26 million over the weekend for a cumulative earning of $103 million in only two weeks. Previously, Universal hadn’t seen a film pass the $100 million mark over a twelve-day period since last summer’s Despicable Me. The Coen brothers’ True Grit came in second, making $24.5 million over the weekend for a cool $86 million overall. True Grit’s earnings even surpassed Little Fockers’s earnings on Friday night. The film is now well on its way to surpassing the domestic box-office intake of the Coen brothers’ Best Picture Oscar winner, No Country For Old Men. Tron: Legacy 3D placed third, earning $18 million over the weekend for a $130 million cumulative intake thus far. The film’s global cumulative intake now stands at $240.9 million, but the movie cost $170 million to make and another $120 million to market globally. Yogi Bear: 3D came in fourth, making $13 million over the weekend for a $66 million cumulative intake in two weeks. And Chronicles of Narnia 3D came in fifth, earning $10.5 million over the weekend for a an $87 million cumulative in three weeks.
