David Chase Adds Lisa Lampanelli to New Film

Mouthy insult comic and frequent roast attendee Lisa Lampanelli has joined the cast of The Twylight Zones, a coming-of-age film directed by David Chase, creator of The Sopranos. Lampanelli revealed the news herself in an interview with Howard Stern today, and when asked what her role was, she said that she’s essentially playing Chase’s aunt, since the movie is based on his teenage years. Fun fact: Chase has said in the past that he based coldhearted Sopranos matriarch Livia on his own mother, so does that mean Lampanelli will essentially be playing a sister in spirit to Livia Soprano?
