The behind-the-scenes documentary about Conan’s Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour, Conan O’Brien Can’t Stop, just premiered at SXSW. If you didn’t get a chance to see it there, which is very likely, here’s the first clip they’ve released of it. It looks great; showing the inner workings of Conan and his team in a period of upheaval coupled with revealing interviews.
As for when you can see it, it snagged a pretty unique distribution deal at SXSW: “AT&T has come on board as a P&A and multiplatform distribution and marketing partner that will sneak the film to its AT&T U-verse TV subscribers on the eve of the film’s theatrical release through Abramorama. Magnolia will handle remaining VOD and other home entertainment rights.†OK! So essentially, it’ll be released simultaneously as a limited theatrical release and on demand offering, with U-verse customers getting a first swing at it. No word on when all of this will go down.
