Nathaniel “Nate Dogg†Hale died yesterday, the Long Beach Press-Telegram Reports. Hale started out in the early nineties in the group 213 alongside his pals Warren G and Snoop Dogg; was signed to Death Row Records and worked alongside Dr. Dre and Tupac; and went on to lend his mellifluous vocals to a long string of hip-hop hooks, including Dr. Dre’s “The Next Episode,†Mos Def’s “Oh No,†Ludacris’s “Area Codes,†50 Cent’s “21 Questions,†Snoop Dogg’s “Bitch Please,†Eminem’s “Bitch Please IIâ€, Fabolous’s “Can’t Deny It,†and, his best-known performance, Warren G’s “Regulate.†Between 1998 and 2004, he also released three lesser-known solo albums: G-Funk Classics, Vol. 1 & 2, Music and Me, and Nate Dogg.
