Nate Dogg Dies at 41

Nathaniel “Nate Dogg” Hale died yesterday, the Long Beach Press-Telegram Reports. Hale started out in the early nineties in the group 213 alongside his pals Warren G and Snoop Dogg; was signed to Death Row Records and worked alongside Dr. Dre and Tupac; and went on to lend his mellifluous vocals to a long string of hip-hop hooks, including Dr. Dre’s “The Next Episode,” Mos Def’s “Oh No,” Ludacris’s “Area Codes,” 50 Cent’s “21 Questions,” Snoop Dogg’s “Bitch Please,” Eminem’s “Bitch Please II”, Fabolous’s “Can’t Deny It,” and, his best-known performance, Warren G’s “Regulate.” Between 1998 and 2004, he also released three lesser-known solo albums: G-Funk Classics, Vol. 1 & 2, Music and Me, and Nate Dogg.
