Though The Hunger Games is about a dystopian gauntlet that few come out of alive, the real test for the actors in the movie adaptation is surviving the vociferous fan reaction that comes when they get cast. Jennifer Lawrence: Too blonde and voluptuous! Liam Hemsworth: Too Miley-adjacent! Josh Hutcherson: Not Hunter Parrish! Now, though, director Gary Ross has thrown fans a curveball: He’s cast the crucial roles of Thresh (Dayo Okeniyi) and Rue (Amandla Stenberg), and unless you’re related to them, you’ve most likely never heard of these actors before. This means, of course, that you’ll have to wait for the movie to come out to determine whether they’ll be any good. Clever! [Inside Movies/EW]
