In a video conceived by Chris Kelly, the kindergartner who wrote Fast Five chats with The Onion’s Today Now! about his new action-packed film. Though he may not be old enough to not pee his pants when he’s asleep, Chris Morgan knows what American audiences want: cars that go boom, Vin Diesel’s big muscles and trains with holes in them. I can only assume he wrote the previous four The Fast And The Furious movies as well. Missing teeth, taking off his shoes on-camera and falling asleep mid-sentence seems par for the course for most screenwriters, but somehow Morgan manages to make it work. I look forward to seeing big things from this prodigy, most likely scrawled in crayon on the wall behind the living room sofa.
