Over the last year, Blake Lively has been taking meetings with Baz Luhrmann, Alfonso Cuarón, and Christopher Nolan in a bid to launch her big-screen career. Her Gossip Girl co-star Leighton Meester, on the other hand, is part of a casting announcement that includes Vanilla Ice. Meester and Ice — singer-actors both! — will be joining I Hate You, Dad, an upcoming Adam Sandler movie that finds Sandler clashing with his about-to-be-married son (played by Andy Samberg, who is only twelve years younger than Sandler in real life). Meester will play Samberg’s fiancée, while Vanilla Ice will be taking the role of “a gay wedding coordinator from Long Island.†You laugh (possibly for the only time in conjunction with this movie), but it will gross over $100 million.
