Controversial Princess Diana Documentary Finds Distribution Deals

Keith Allen’s Unlawful Killing, a controversial Princess Diana documentary, has reportedly secured distribution deals in Russia, Spain, and Eastern Europe after screening for buyers at Cannes in May. Critical of the royal family, the film argues that there’s been a conspiracy to hide important facts about the 1997 deaths of Diana and boyfriend Dodi Al-Fayed. The film happens to be financed by Mohamed Al-Fayed, Dodi’s billionaire father. There’s also “active interest in the U.S.,†according to producers. Killing is currently banned from the U.K. on account of libel laws, unless 87 cuts are made. [HR]
