Jason Reitman’s still finishing up Young Adult, the Charlize Theron–starring dark comedy that reunites him with his Juno screenwriter Diablo Cody, but he’s already lined up the cast for his next film, Labor Day. EW reports that Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin have come aboard Reitman’s adaptation of the Joyce Maynard novel; Winslet will play a depressed single mom whose life is shaken up when she and her teenage son take in a bloody stranger (Josh Brolin), who they come to learn is an escaped convict. We would totally watch the version where Winslet and Brolin switch parts, but this sounds fine, too. [Inside Movies/EW]
