Convinced, perhaps, that Krypton eschews earthly circumcision rituals, Russell Crowe has come aboard Zack Snyder’s Superman reboot, Man of Steel. He’ll play Jor-El, Superman’s biological father and the role filled by Marlon Brando in Richard Donner’s original Superman film (and in Bryan Singer’s take on the mythos, disconcertingly). Variety was the first to report that Crowe would play father to new man of steel Henry Cavill, and they have a hilarious mock-up of what Crowe might look like in the role. Do check it out.
