In The Vow, a young married couple deeply, adorably in love — they get married in a museum where they are not supposed to be! They ask each other to move in with blueberries! — face a crisis. After a car accident, the wife cannot remember her heartbroken husband, and he has to get her to fall for him again. If you are not moved by this premise, well, here is the kicker: The couple is comprised of Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum, two people who have proven they know how to rock a romantic weepie (see: The Notebook, Dear John). There’s plenty of bad hair, bad music cues, and dramatic line readings here, and as much as we like both McAdams and Tatum, we’re not sure they have much chemistry, but there’s only so many times you can watch The Notebook, right? (Ha, we kid. Obviously, there is no limit to how many times you can watch The Notebook. But this does look like it will make for a good double feature with it.) Added bonus: While Channing Tatum is tearfully convincing his wife to fall back in love with him (will she do it?!), she totally takes up with Scott Speedman. Lucky amnesiac.
