Triggerman in 1994 Tupac Shakur Shooting Confesses

Dexter Isaac, an inmate currently serving a life sentence for murder and robbery, has confessed to the 1994 shooting of Tupac Shakur outside Quad Studios in New York City. Tupac was killed two years later in an incident that may have stemmed from that shooting: Pac blamed the ‘94 assault on Biggie, Diddy, and other associates of Bad Boy Records, and the incident spiraled into the lethal East Coast–West Coast feud. Isaac, though, says the shooting was carried out on the orders of James “Jimmy Henchman†Rosemond, a manager for artists like Game and Sean Kingston who was most recently in the news after a federal warrant was issued for his arrest in connection with a drug-trafficking ring. Isaac — who is confessing now both in retaliation for Rosemond having recently implicated him as an informant, and because the statute of limitations has passed — says he was paid $2500 for the attack. He also took a diamond ring and a chain, which are still in his possession, off Tupac; another diamond ring was given to Rosemond. Isaac does not make it clear what the motivations for the attack were, but does write: “Mr. Rosemond, I ask you: Are you going to flip on Puffy when the feds get you?†Isaac’s full statement, released to AllHipHop.com and not yet confirmed by officials, is below.
