Dan Eckman Adapts DC Pierson’s The Boy Who Couldn’t Sleep and Never Had To

Collider reports that Mystery Team director Dan Eckman adapted DC Pierson’s novel The Boy Who Couldn’t Sleep And Never Had To for the screen with Pierson, and is currently shopping the script around to studios. The Boy follows the story of highschoolers Darren Bennett and Eric Lederer, best buds until “Eric reveals a secret: He doesn’t sleep. Ever. When word leaks out about Eric’s condition, he and Darren find themselves on the run.” A story which could only be enhanced by the sombreros and bindle sticks left in the Mystery Team storage unit.
