If you thought the collaborative muscle of Jay-Z and Kanye West’s forthcoming joint album Watch the Throne couldn’t get any more insane, think again. Jay told Hot 97’s Angie Martinez today that he nabbed Jackass mastermind/short-film kingpin Spike Jonze to direct the video for “Otis,†an Otis Redding–sample-based single off the album that dropped late last month. He didn’t discuss details of the video, but based on a photo from the shoot that shows the American flag image associated with “Otis,†we can guess it’ll somehow play off the song’s “Not bad, huh, for some immigrants?†brand of braggadocio.
