Stephen Collins will guest-star on an episode of The Office this season as Ed Helms’s father, the “Nard Man†to Andy’s “Nard Dog,†and Dee Wallace will guest as Andy’s mom. Collins got plenty of practice playing the parent of overly earnest, ultimately sweet but slightly strange offspring during his decade of dutiful service on 7th Heaven, and Wallace is seared into the collective pop-culture brain as the mom in E.T.
