On October 8 in Cardiff, Wales, a big huge Michael Jackson tribute concert will go down with sets from Cee Lo Green, Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis, Smokey Robinson, Craig David, Alien Ant Farm (whaaat? Oh right, this), 3T (a.k.a. Tito Jackson’s three sons), and more artists to be named later. This being a thing related to the legacy of Michael Jackson, however, it cannot go on without controversy: Jermaine and Randy are not happy about this at all, and released a statement last month saying, “While we wholeheartedly support the spirit of a tribute that honors our brother, we find it impossible to support an event that is due to take place during the criminal trial surrounding Michael’s death.†That actually maybe is a little weird? Anyway, plans haven’t been announced to live-cast it, but go ahead and assume that it will be and return those plane tickets to Wales. Wait, they’re nonrefundable?! Oh no! Sorry, dude. [CNN]
