The network has given the go-ahead to three new series, it was announced on Sunday. They are Masters of Sex, a cable-appropriate-sounding adaptation of Thomas Maier’s book about sex-education researchers William Masters and Virginia Johnson; Gurland on Gurland, a docudrama chronicling its creator’s navigation of the next phase of his career; and Ray Donovan, a family drama about an L.A. “fixer†to the famous whose own life — you guessed it! — could use some fixing. The shows are the second round of orders from new entertainment chief David Nevins, who greenlit — and eventually picked up — Homeland and House of Lies earlier this year. [THR]
