The boxing aficionados among you will know that Floyd Mayweather defeated Victor Ortiz in a highly controversial fight on Saturday. (It involved the weekend’s second Head-Butt of Note, apparently, as well as a mean kiss? Vulture is really only familiar with boxing enough to yell “Not You†when someone mentions The Fighter, so we’ll direct you elsewhere for coverage.) Anyway, it turns out a second confrontation went down: Ray J, who was featured playing the piano for Mayweather in a pre-fight special, wasn’t too thrilled about a tweet Fabolous sent in response. “Floyd saying we havin a concert in my living room & the camera cuts to Ray J singing ‘One Wish’ on the piano had me in tears!!†So when he ran into Fab at an after-party, he started swinging. According to Ray, who called into Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club†to give his side of the story, Fab didn’t hit back; Mr. Lous hasn’t yet tweeted about the interview, though given his opponent’s repeated threats during the radio call-in, he probably will. Meanwhile, Ray J was also very adamant that we understand how close he is to Mayweather: “I play piano in [his home] every day. That’s my big bro, we grew up together. So if you think I just came over there and played a song you got it motherfuckin twisted. I’m always over there.†Every. Day. Do you hear him? [Popdust]
