McKinley High has readmitted Sam Evans. TV Line reports that Chord Overstreet is in final talks to return to Glee for several episodes this season, reprising a role he gave up prior to the third season when producers opted to keep him a recurring player rather than promoting him to series-regular status. At the time he quit, Sam was poised to become the new love interest to Mercedes, a slot that producers have since filled; however, this is Glee, and relationships switch up every few episodes or so.
