The Killing’s Joel Kinnaman Lands Arthur & Lancelot

Joel Kinnaman.

Go Holder! Joel Kinnaman’s laudable work as your favorite Swedish homeboy from The Killing elevated him to genuine up-and-comer status in Hollywood this year, and he landed himself on several casting short lists (he was considered at one point for the lead role in Steven Soderbergh’s The Man From U.N.C.L.E., which went to Bradley Cooper instead). Now Kinnaman has picked up a $90 million tentpole in WB’s “realistic reimagining†of Arthur & Lancelot, where he’ll play Lancelot. Despite fan frustration with the finale of The Killing, both Kinnaman and co-star Mireille Enos have been in demand since (Enos booked roles in Brad Pitt’s zombie thriller World War Z and the period drama Gangster Squad). They must be very excited about all the potential for costume changes. [Heat Vision/THR]
