Julia Roberts’s newest project, a workplace comedy called Second Act, will test both her mettle and her appeal. She’s set to star in the film as well as produce it, and at this early development stage, the project requires some extra elbow grease (like a script). The test of her appeal comes with the film’s premise, about a woman (Roberts) who has never had a job but is forced to get one. If Julia Roberts can make someone in the world’s oldest profession seem appealing, then surely her smile can make audiences root for a fallen one percenter at the water cooler.Â
