Celine. Cher. Crüe. Yes, Vince Neil & Co. are heading to Las Vegas for a three-week residency at the Hard Rock Hotel, as revealed on Piers Morgan Tonight. Which kind of works, as they’ve been the Cirque du Soleil of heavy metal for three decades, minus anything that could be dubbed classy or artsy.
“We’re the first hard rock band ever to have a residency [in Las Vegas],” Neil said. “There’s been bands like Santana and Elton John and these kinds of acts, but for us, Mötley Crüe, we’re all about theater and about over-the-top stage show, so it’s a perfect fit for us.”
The residency will begin February 3, 2012; tickets are already on sale. Looks like being scorched by Dane Cook wasn’t the Crüe’s low point, after all.
