Oh, hell yes. Deadline is reporting that John Goodman has signed a deal to costar with Roseanne Barr for her new NBC pilot Downwardly Mobile, and you just sat up a little straighter. The duo memorably played husband and wife on the landmark sitcom Roseanne, though it seems they won’t initially be paired here: Barr is playing the owner of a mobile home park, while Goodman is just a “buddy†of hers who works there. But obviously, they need to get together, and Laurie Metcalf had better be checking her availability.
