While waiting to learn the fate of Fox’s canceled dinosaur drama Terra Nova, Jason O’Mara has accepted an offer to co-star in an untitled Ralph Lamb pilot with Dennis Quaid, Michael Chiklis, Carrie-Anne Moss, and others. (Terra Nova may still ward off extinction if negotiations with Netflix pan out.) Goodfellas and Casino scribe Nicholas Pileggi co-wrote the CBS pilot, which centers around Lamb, a cowboy turned Vegas sheriff who battles to keep order in the sixties and seventies while entrepreneurs and criminals attempt to wreak havoc on the growing sea of lights and debauchery. When Lamb (who will be played by Quaid), 84, learned that his experiences would become the subject of a drama, he said in a country drawl, “That’s wonderful. I’ve waited a long time fer this.†Don’t let the man down, CBS.
