FX Trying to Whip S&M Memoir Into Shape With Vince Vaughn

The ink has barely dried on the deal to turn E.L. James’s 50 Shades of Grey into a feature film at Universal Pictures, but already it seems that Hollywood is hot for S&M: We hear exclusively that Fox’s FX Network is partnering with Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Picture Show Productions to develop Shawna Kenney’s memoir I Was a Teenage Dominatrix.

While a cash-strapped undergrad at American University in Washington, D.C., during the early nineties, Kenney answered an ad in the local alternative paper that promised, “Get paid for being a bitch!� Soon enough, Kenney was rolling in enough greenery to make her tuition payments, courtesy of the many politicos and elected officials she was regularly flogging into submission in her dungeon.

Now carrying the working title Whipped, Vaughn and FX seem to have found a showrunner with the perfect mix of prurience and innocence: They’ve hired Californication and Gilmore Girls co-executive producer Gina Fattore to adapt Kenney’s ribald romp.

Obviously, this is just a development deal, so don’t get all hot and bothered yet, but do feel free to you make your own “sexual Congress� joke here, or failing that, simply enjoy this amusing clip of Vaughn hog-tied to his bed in Wedding Crashers.
